Monoclonal Antibody ICSM 10 Product No. 0130-01001 100µg monoclonal anti-PrP ICSM 10 Product No. 0130-01010 1mg monoclonal anti-PrP ICSM 10 Product description Monoclonal anti- prion protein (PrP); purified mouse immunoglobulin The antibody isotype is IgG1κ Concentration 1mg/ml in 0.1M Tris/Glycine, pH 7.0, >95% pure. The antibody is sterile filtered and contains 10mM sodium azide as preservative. Note: Purified antibodies can be supplied without sodium azide preservative on request at the same price. The antibody also reacts with sheep, mouse, hamster and bovine PrP. By Western blotting and immunoprecipitation ICSM 10 does not bind to diglycosylated PrP; binding only un-glycosylated PrP and a subset of mono-glycosylated PrP. The mono-glycosylated PrP detected by ICSM 10 has a higher relative molecular mass than detected by ICSM 3 (Beringue et al., 2003 for mouse PrP, human unpublished data). The antibody epitope is not defined. Storage and Stability This product may be stored at 0-5°C for continuous or daily use. For long term storage the antibody can be frozen in aliquots at -20°C. Repeated freeze-thawing should be avoided. Applications ICSM 10 can be used for detection of PrP by immunoprecipitation, western blotting, FACS and immunohistochemistry. (WB >1mg/ml, IP & FACS 10mg/ml, the antibody has not been titrated to give a minimum working concentration).
